If you're around the area, it's a good place to have Sweet & Sour Pork, Fried Fish, etc. A big bonus was their Lobster with Noodles for only $20! Service is ok. Ambiance is a typical Chinese place. May need some cleaning.

Though I've been here a few times before, I felt inclined to write this review mainly because of the service I received today, which was...unbelievable in the best way possible Before I sat down, the cart waitress rolled up behind me and said "What you want?" then at the speed of light she listed the names of everything in the attached picture, to which I replied "Yes. All." As she set down the baskets, another waiter set down a glass of water and the sauce plate. Everything I came there for was on the table before I could even scoot my chair in (not an exaggeration). NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! Quality food, efficient service, and a free parking lot. As I write this review from my bed before an afternoon nap, I could not be happier with my experience getting dim sum at Mama Lu's today.

Whenever I am craving Chinese food, I always find myself back Mama Lu. Though I do find the interior and ambience a little dull inside, I always get a friendly server who sits me quickly and gives me a pot of complementary hot tea and this time was no different. I was feeling more adventurous during this visit and wanted to try some dishes I've never ordered here. I settled on the Yang chow fried rice, beef wrap, honey garlic pork chop, string beans and kung pow shrimp. All of the entrées were executed perfectly with the beef wrap really being my usual favorite. The Kung pow shrimp was also really nice because they did not get stingy on the shrimp and the flavor was great. The honey garlic pork chop was so sweet, It was almost like a dessert, but it was perfectly crispy and I wasn't bothered by the high sugar content. Really you can't go wrong with anything on Mama Lu's menu. I'll continue to come back here whenever I get another Chinese food craving!

Faster service than fast food ! Quality better than most fast foods. Whether opting to sit down or take out which is even more reasonably priced. We like this location more than Pasadena. Easy to park and great for quick bites ( the quickest lol ) sit down or take out. Quality is good and competitive to more popular dim sum places, better than others. We chose to sit down for brunch. Other than dim sums the menu offers other dishes and portion size is large enough to share with 4 people. Hot tea served in tea pots with fresh tea leaves are perfect complement. Take outs are super reasonable and crunchy shrimp to small fish, clams and eggplants , they are super filling and good. Good stop in Chinatown.

I loved everything that we ordered and it's definitely a place that I like coming back to. The service was great! The kind hospitality of the staff and a warm welcome really made me feel at home. The ambience is definitely a place where you take family and friends to celebrate any occasion. It was a friendly environment and conducive to knowing that you will be pleased with your meal.
